As a designer and longtime supporter of Fashcon, I felt overwhelmed by all the notices all the time, and shut off the recieve notices button in February. I was busy working on RFL projects, and the inundation of constant notices was killing my email and my concentration.

I stopped using Fashcon notices, and I stopped listening.

I recently started listening to Fashcon again and noticed that the spamming had stopped! I love that! Thank you SO much! I feel like I can post my notecard now and not be lost in a pile of crap notices put out by a legion of zombie alts. Once again Fashcon has become a place where I can let folks know what I have coming out.

Thank you for the sensible rules, thank you for the enforcement of them, thank you for the system you put in place (we all have an oops moment on occasion!), but mostly, thank you for keeping this group open and viable. It is an awesome way for designers to let a wide range of folks know about their new products!

Did I mention thank you?

What a pity, and people STILL do not follow the rules. How hard is it people! I mean really..Not only are you asked to read them when you sign up, but your asked multiple times again to read them, and reminded over and over..and begged, and pleaded..and still..all I see are updates for..Oh, we’re ready for our *insert any random one here* hunt! Come visit us!, Oops forgot the Landmark! or, The same post 3 weeks in a row for the same ‘New release and the same Freebie’.

This should be a privlage for us vendors to have available to us, its unfortunate people cant even follow simple rules set forth, it isnt like you need to be a rocket scientist to understand them. No one should be making these people work this hard to have to mother you guys.

Maybe you need to just crack the whip, one strike and your out, period. there should be no mistake..there should be no oops..there should be no warning. Apparently people can’t follow the rules and it’s just getting worse. You guys need a break, maybe no more second chances…*shrug*

Hi VictoriaRose! Hm, odd that it’s doing that – it’s a setting in the kiosk that should be turned off by default. Could you check your kiosk for a notecard inside called .Kiosk Settings and make sure there is a line saying Updatenotify = FALSE? That’s if you can read that notecard. If you still have problems please contact me inworld via notecard. Thanks!

Just wondering if this is related in any way to the IMs that my kiosk has been sending to my email every two hours for the last couple of days??

Thank you for your comments! Yes we do have a lot of notecard templates we use Mairead, without which we’d never get to move inworld! I try to still personalise, but sometimes it’s just not possible to get through the daily traffic without sending out templates. I hope no-one thinks it’s because I don’t love them…
