Hello all. This is my usual weekly HI! to new designers who have just been added to FashCon, and a wavey hand to all you FashCon members to grab a new version of the FashCon HUD to stay updated. If you already have a HUD just load it for an update, if not grab one for free in the boxes on the floor outside the FashCon Cafe.

The new HUD comes with new features! Load it to up to see. (OK, they may be reintroduced old features, but they’re very pleased to meet you again). Remember to try the Tour Bus! Brrrrrrrrm.

Secondly, my two new FashCon staff members are doing a great job, and I’d like to now ask anyone with FashCon queries they can cover to contact them directly:

Ivy Norsk: FashCon Content Moderator.
Ivy deals with issues of notice content, and can answer any questions designers have on what they may send to the group, that aren’t clear in the FAQ. If you are concerned about aspects of notice content, spam etc., please contact Ivy. If you are a designer and not following the Four Noble Truths of notice sending (e.g. Thou Shalt Not Send Just Landmarks) then you’ll also hear from Ivy. Ivy is privately known as The Enforcer, so fear her! I’m supplying her with FashCon jackboots and heavy artillery.
PK Emmons: FashCon Kiosk Maintainer
PK deal with all issues to do with the FashCon Kiosks that designers use to join FashCon, and updates the FashCon HUD each week. If you have queries about how to join FashCon as a designer (after reading the Apply page), questions about how to configure your kiosk, or queries about being added to the group as a designer, please send PK a notecard.

Please remember that PK and Ivy are doing a fantastic job and saving my bacon, and when they speak, they mysteriously speak with my voice (creepy for them) and may often be quite busy. They’re also settling in so please be patient. Thanks!

The astute among you may have notice that 100 designers have been lopped off the number at the top of the Who page on the website – this isn’t because 100 people left, but because the old terrible mathematics used to calculate designers has been replaced by still-pretty-bad maths and a more realistic number – currently 899 FashCon designers. We hope sometime soon to get a proper listing – unlike every other statistic on SL – and YOU faithful designer can help by buying a FashCon kiosk now and joining the new system if you never did. It really helps to lower our admin, and you get to be on the HUD and dynamic links on the website. See Apply – oh yes.

Finally, to all designers, please be aware that everyone sending streams of landmark-only notices, or notices without pics, or notices not about new releases, will be contacted soon, and you must keep your notices within FashCon rules, or one strike out. This isn’t to be mean, but because with 900 designers we can’t negotiate with each of you, and if you don’t respond after one request you’re removed as a designer as the last resort of grabbing your attention – if so, contact Ivy. FashCon members and buyers are constantly noticing, and informing me that they consider landmark-only and offtopic notices as spam, and refuse to buy from such senders – you are doing your business and FashCon harm. The FAQ covers policy on notice content and it hasn’t changed since inception. It’s just that now I have staff to enforce it. So BEWARE!

I hate saying that when there are a ton of lovely fragrant juicy gorgeous faithful FashCon designers reading this who know the rules, love them, stick to them and have happy shoppers. You know who you are! <3
